The Future of Nursing with Dr. Oz

Two weeks ago, I co-hosted a segment on the Dr. Oz show with Dr. Oz. Yes, the real Dr. Oz!

I am honored to represent my product partner, USANA Health Sciences, along with Dr. Oz, to sponsor an essay contest awarding the winner a $10,000 scholarship.

The contest is called,

The Future of Nursing

All current nursing students are eligible to apply.

Dr Oz with Angie Gray - Holistic Wellness, Business, Leadership, & Relationship Coach

Hilariously, and so fitting for my life, nothing went quite as planned. Lucky for me, mom of 7, I’m used to it! After a surreal experience with hair and makeup experts () I was whisked away and there I was, in the hot seat next to Oz himself.

As I sat next to Oz while he read through the script and
they did light checks etc., I was thinking, “how did I get here?” I
never thought about cohosting a segment on the Dr. Oz show. Not ever.

Not even once. I thought, "Is it karma? Is the universe really listening? Thank you, universe!"

thankful for what you have; you'll end up having more. If you
concentrate on what you don't have, you will never, ever have enough”
~Oprah Winfrey

I felt so grateful for the experience and so honored, as a former nurse, to be representing nurses.

Nurses are the unsung heroes of so many important times in our lives.

I’ve learned through great mentors, books, and wisdom:

  • Generously paid forward (spread good energy).
  • To be clear about the end result (set a clear intention)
  • Head in that general direction (allow things to manifest).
  • Be grateful when things manifest, don't overlook them when they do, & (most importantly) enjoy the ride!

I am thankful for

  • Being clear on where I want to go.
  • Having the opportunity to cohost with Dr. Oz
  • The honour of representing the amazing nurses of our future.

Clear Intention
Nursing students have a clear end result. They need to finish their
studies and graduate. The intention? To serve others with all they’ve
learned--this is clear.

The essay contest is an opportunity to win a scholarship. Only one nursing student will win but EVERY one of the contestants entering are worthy of it.

Just participating says alot about

  • Overcoming fear/doubt.
  • Being confident & inspired.
  • Recognizing & allowing opportunities such as this contest to manifest.
  • Being grateful whatever the outcome may be.

Each contestant has to provide a video of themselves explaining why nursing is important. The stories shared in these videos will bring tears to your eyes. Each applicant telling why becoming a nurse is important to them. The future of nursing lies with men and women committing to getting the education needed to serve others in vulnerable times. All of us will need the care of a nurse some day. Whether it is for us or a parent or loved one. The future of nursing lies in ALL of the nursing students.
Not only in the passing meds but in caring for the whole person, mind, body, and spirit.

Best of luck to all the amazing students!

Please join me on the Oz show this Friday at 4:00 p.m. CT. See you on then!

There’s still time to enter! Deadline November 15th

Successful Relationships means Successful Life – My life-changing “nugget”

Angie Gray Holitic Wellness Coach and Relationship Expert

Learning how different personalities work is is essential for successful relationships.

If there is one thing I know for sure, it is when things between Todd and I aren’t going great.

No matter how hard I try to manipulate the circumstances, the rest of my life becomes challenging including how I relate to my kids and in my work life. Nothing flows. Everything seems harder and feels less joyful.

“Learning how different personalities work is essential!”

The “nugget”

Todd and I could not be more different in how we communicate. Boy has that been a source of frustration and misunderstanding!

Many years ago I was given a nugget of wisdom by an amazing woman and therapist named Carol. This beautiful nugget saved me from many years of disappointment.

Here it is:

Todd is not the prince that always knows what to say and how comes to my rescue and I am not the princess that, well … no where close.

No “supposed to be’s” meant that the expectations I projected onto my husband and he onto me, were a set up for failure and disappointment.

Angie Gray Holitic Wellness Coach and Relationship Expert

My relationship with my husband is the most important one of all. The opportunity that we manifested for us to grow in our understanding of how we communicate through my relationship/communication training, has been an eye opener. This new awareness filled us with a greater understanding of each other and cultivated more grace to give to one another.

As Todd and I enter into the 3rd quarter of our lives and of our marriage, here are five things we work toward with great intention:

  1. Daily check in: For us it’s after we get into bed KIds are in bed or acting as if and we shut the door and take time to download and be good listeners. #intimacy
  2. Weekly date nights: WE love our date night! We are simple folk. Usually dinner and a movie. Currently we are committed to spicing it up with each of taking one date night a mont to do something our of our comfort zone! Really crazy like, bowling! LOL! #spiceitup
  3. Meditation: We are very mindful of the energy we bring to eachother. Practicing meditation is foundational for us. Sometimes we meditate together but most often its on our own time. Taking the time to remember who we are and be grateful for all that we have fills our cup so we are our best selves for each other and our family and in our work life. #rememberwhoyouare
  4. Relationship checkups with our favorite family therapist. Having a great therapist on call for check-ins and check-ups is part of our tool kit. #backontrack
  5. Speak to your spouse like you’re dating. This is my favorite and and the most important one, ever. “Kindness is the light that dissolves all walls between souls, families and nations” P.W. #thinkbeforeyouspeak

For us, there have been many challenges and many successes, which I can’t wait to share with you in coming newsletters.

Until next time,

In gratitude and service,

What is Your Personality Type?

My understanding of this dynamic and my desire to experience the most out of this beautiful life led me to find a way to improve our relationship. And, gosh did I find something so precious, I couldn’t believe I didn’t discover it sooner.

I recently became licensed and certified to teach a revolutionary methodology that builds great relationships both personally and professionally! That’s how much I believe in this method.

Father’s Day 2017 – He loves his children’s mother

Happy Foather's Day 2017 - Angie Gray Wellness & Coaching

Happy Father’s Day to all my friends that are dads, all of the husbands, and to the men who love and care for the children that aren’t even their “own.” 😊

My husband, Todd adopted our eldest child when we got married when she was just five years-old.
This was the beginning of an unbelievable grace-filled family journey that would read more like a novel than a newsletter. Numerous beautiful experiences in our life have molded us into the amazing individuals and parents (and children) that we are today.

I love my husband of 26-years, more today than than ever before; I love him for many reasons.
Despite our sometimes polar opposite parenting styles, and more often than not,  feeling like I am the only parent in the house–he loves our children fiercely.

The number one biggest and most important gift he has embodied for our children is his love for me.

“The greatest gift a father can give his children is to love their mother” ~A.G.U.

Happy Father's Day 2017- Angie Gray Wellness & CoachingReally, my friends, Todd is a superdad. NOT a perfect dad–a real dad. He is doing his best to BE his best. ☺️ Cheers to all the daddys doing their best and to all the dads who have left this physical place.

There is so much love for you here. Wishing you the best Father’s Day ever, ~xo

My Long-Term Vision

My Long-term vision - Angie Gray Coaching

My Long-term vision - Angie Gray Coaching
What do Alexander Graham Bell, the Wright brothers, Eleanor Roosevelt, Abraham Lincoln, Harriet Tubman, Mother Theresa, Martin Luther King, Toni Morrison, Bill Gates, Albert Einstein, Billie Jean King, and Dr. Myron Wentz have in common?

There are NO quitters in this bunch.

22 years ago I agreed to partner with Dr. Myron Wentz and USANA Health Sciences. I have a story to share, a vision to see through, and I am loving the journey!

Dr. Wentz had a long term vision. He enticed me to partner with him on that vision through his willingness to share his story. A man sharing his story and his vision to free the world of degenerative disease.

to have partnered with Dr. Wentz and with his hope and intention of bringing great value to the world and to serving humankind.

USANA has been my vehicle to experience things I would never have imagined.

To build relationships with beautiful human beings and to help them tell THEIR story. To serve others through all that I have learned from USANA. To create new financial freedoms, experience wellness in all forms and to help others around the world to do the same.

Through USANA, I get to be part of a global vision that is making a positive difference in the lives of people I know, and those I will never know.

If you (or someone you know) align with the above and want to know more about how this amazing partnership with USANA has expanded abundance in my life, my families and a tribe of like-minded humans globally, I would LOVE to connect 💕

Breaking Through Self Doubt

Creating Your Beautiful Life

I felt stuck for a week, and yesterday I had a breakthrough 🙂

I am shifting in my business and it FEELS DIFFERENT.

For 2 weeks it felt, not so good. Sluggish.

What if no one does anything? If I switch my focus and follow the well-being, I know that leads me, but will I reach my goals?

For all of these questions I already had the answers, but the SHIFT can really rattle a girl for a minute!

Growth feels different and sometimes it feels bittersweet. It is necessary as I CHOOSE to move forward but the FEELING, because it is new, can feel uncomfortable. So riding it out is a CHOICE.

I choose to ride it out, because, from experience, I know that I am SHIFTING and getting ready for the next level of ME. The feeling of “pressure” isn’t a bad thing.  A diamond doesn’t get to be a diamond, without some pressure.

The breakthrough happened, and the FEELING is SO GOOD.

I CHOOSE TO TRUST MY JOURNEY!  It NEVER lets me down!  Whoop! Whoop!

Let me know if YOU know, what I’m talking about in the comments box below??

Please listen to one of my 3 favorite mentors, Marie Forleo.  Marie is the role model who I believe I will be sitting with one day!

BE love
